Usually what I try to do with these is continue any clues I got from the preceding slice without changing them too much. They tend to change enough on their own, just by virtue of the fact that you’re only given 15 pixels worth of image to start with — and there are always more players adding random imagery, so it’s worth balancing that out by trying to maintain as much continuity as possible. I didn’t do that here. I knew that was somebody’s chest and armpit in the middle of the pane, but decided not to go for the obvious transition. At least in part, this is because it had sat on my desk for a few days already waiting for me to get around to finding (or making) a photo of somebody’s chest at the right angle, which felt like work more than like play. Also I had this fish sitting around from another project, and the angles and shapes just seemed right. I can’t say it works. But hey, it was worth a try.
