The building is the shape and size it is because it’s there to cover up a really terribly failed experiment which looked much better in my head than on the canvas. Lessons learned:
1) gritty textury sponge-and-grease backgrounds are fun to make, but hard to work with, because you can’t go back and touch them up later.
2) Maybe next time I should check my light source before spending hours getting the shadows on the building just right. Idiot.
