This wasn’t even going to be a painting: I had done the background and a sloppy silhouette more than a month ago, before my trip, and had been so skeptical of the results that I was about to put a layer of white over the top and recycle the masonite. But Kate talked me into spending a little more time with it — I don’t think she knew that’s what she was doing, necessarily, but there it is — and this is what came out.

I like this one quite a bit. There’s something pleasing in the poised nature of his right leg and arm. :)
This one reminds me of Magritte (my favorite!) Very cool. I love me some surrealism.
