Among its many talents is the ability to warp time and space, defocusing light waves slightly to camouflage itself from predators and photographers. Either that or I just bobbled the camera a bit.
Wombats are much sillier, but since the zoos keep them in nearly lightless rooms, I do not have any photographs of the one we saw in the classic cartoon “I am a dead animal? pose (flat on back, four legs straight up in the air, X’es instead of eyes, snoring slightly.)
